Experienced Heritage Builder
Skilled, ‘all round’ builder required to join the team at Jute Construction as a full-time employee.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead on-site, problem solving. 
  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors and clients and represent the company. 
  • Promote teamwork in a collaborative and high-performance work environment. 
  • Promote a healthy work environment. 
  • Use traditional techniques and materials as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Full driving licence. 
  • An all rounder with proven experience in the building trade. 
  • Able to work on-site and adapt to varying project needs. 
  • Able to read drawings with excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. 
  • Experience in heritage restoration or conservation projects would be desirable.

What We Offer

  • Pay: £18-£21 per hour
  • Expected hours: Around 40 hours per week
Heritage Bench Joiner
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a vital part in our heritage conservation projects, utilizing your expertise in joinery and carpentry to restore and enhance historical buildings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Perform high-quality joinery work on various conservation projects. 
  • Assemble and fabricate wooden structures according to specifications. 
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution. 
  • Utilize power tools safely and effectively for all tasks. 
  • Conduct repairs and restorations on existing wooden structures. 
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Requirements

  • Proven experience, preferably in heritage or conservation work. 
  • Strong knowledge of joinery techniques and carpentry skills. 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans. 
  • Familiarity with power tools and safety protocols. 
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

What We Offer

  • Pay: £14.85-£20 per hour
  • Expected hours: Around 40 hours per week
Skilled Heritage Painter & Decorator

The right candidates will have:

  • Experience painting and wallpapering to a high quality. 
  • Be able to work safely and efficiently. 
  • Be able to work without supervision. 
  • Be able to work effectively independently and as a team member.
  • Be respectful and honest. 
  • A great work ethic.
