At Jute we are proud to be involved in the conservation and restoration of historic buildings and specialize in the renovation and restoration of older properties. Our close knit team is made up of heritage professionals and time server craftspeople including builders, Lime plasterers, carpenters and joiners. We also call on our pool of specialist subcontractors which has built up over a number of years.

We understand the restrictions on structural changes and the intricate process of obtaining planning and listed building consent. Working closely with other heritage specialists including historic buildings officers, planners, architects to produce exceptional practical solutions appropriate to the project in order to create amazing spaces for people to thrive. Customers benefit from integrated service– one team, one plan, one goal.

Residential & Commercial

We undertake residential development of all scales for home owners - from urban extensions with cellar conversions to full thatched cottage and barn conversions, and a Georgian rectory restoration.

Current commercial projects include repurposing an historic Victorian lace mill for new commercial and residential use. An Edwardian metalwork factory into small commercial units and an art deco 10,000 foot former high street department store in a Derbyshire market town into mixed space use for creative industry.
